After checkout, you’ll receive an email with a short form where you can upload your photo and write your message.
Once your keepsake is placed on the tree, you’ll receive a photo of it among the branches — a simple way to see where your remembrance lives in the world.

Where is the Memory Tree located?
The Memory Tree stands on the hilltop within the Little Whiskers sanctuary in the De Luz area of Temecula, California. This protected land was originally purchased to preserve the surrounding wildlife from development and has since found another purpose as a resting place where pets are remembered.
The oak that serves as the Memory Tree overlooks the sanctuary and can be found near 33.4937° N, 117.2276° W.
What if I want to include a small physical memento in my Memory Tree keepsake?
We’re happy to accommodate that. Simply email us, and we’ll provide a mailing address. Your item must be small enough to fit within a 4x6 sleeve so it can be safely enclosed and displayed on the tree.
Many families choose to include something that feels personally connected to their pet — a small portion of ashes, a tuft of fur, a paw print, a collar tag, or even a tiny piece of a favorite blanket or toy.
Is this tribute only for pets whose ashes are scattered here?

How can I remain connected to my pet?
In addition to receiving a photo of your Memory Tree keepsake once it’s placed, you can stay connected through our Letters from the Hill. These seasonal reflections are sent each solstice and equinox, sharing photographs and short videos that show how the sanctuary changes over time.
When will my keepsake be placed?
Memory Tree keepsakes are tied during the next scheduled scattering day, which typically occurs once a week. You’ll receive a confirmation photo afterward so you can see where your remembrance lives within the sanctuary.
Can I hang the tag myself?
The sanctuary isn’t open to the public, as there are no public access roads and the land is carefully protected to preserve its natural state. Each keepsake is placed by hand during the next scattering day, ensuring every tribute becomes part of the sanctuary with care and intention.
